  1. Moving a decal with XYZ

I noticed that the AI sometimes help (Or making it worse) when I drop decal onto a 3D model. Sometimes I just want to move slight a bit but I can't. The XYZ feature for now seems to be only controling the ratio of the image, but not how the image is placed on the surface of the model. Also, as my attachment shows, sometimes I want to make my mock up perfect which I want to mock up the pages underneath the top pages as well. But since the pages I want to mock up is underneath another surface,…

  3. Select material and cut-paste a new geometry

I would LOVE to be able to make a selection from a material's placement and then copy paste the geometry as a new object.

I happen to find that going from geometry to material back and forth is a bit tedious, So I'd rather "ungroup" my geometry and make it easier to change.

Having a right click option on a placed material to "make a selection from the material's placement" (= which means I already once on this project made that selection with the magic wand), or, second option "make a new object from the material's placement selection, and cut…

This should be very feasible. We do allow you (as of Dimension 2.2) to copy/paste selections of geometry into new objects. Right now the selection method is using Magic Wand, so if your material application is the same as a magic wand selection then you could do this today.

For a future enhancement we can add a way to select the polygons a material is assigned to.

  4. Better shape controls

I love the new shapes with controls, really helpful.
But there are a few more basic things missing that would make them really powerful.

1/ Being able to give each corner a radius. So you could make a more rounded square, or make teardrop shapes with this.

2/ Adding the hollow cube, pipe and hollow sphere to the basic shapes. Giving them more control of wall thickness would be great.

    Keep up the ace work!

  6. Borrow features from the original "Dimensions" software

Way back in 1990s there was a separate little program that shipped with Illustrator called..."Adobe Dimensions" (note that Dimensions has an "s" at the end). It was a 3D modeling and rendering program that worked seamlessly with Illustrator, was very simple to use, and kicked the crap out of Illustrator's current 3D capabilities. It was a brilliant program that was sadly discontinued in 2004. Unfortunately, Adobe never truly integrated any of Dimensions best features into any of its programs. Had Adobe had just ported all the features directly over to Illustrator and continued to evolve it they could have had…

  7. Retain file name of image when it's imported

When importing image files the name is changed to a generic name. This is counter productive and inefficient as it relates to the 3D product creation.

It would be nice to have the imported file retain its naming convention.

  8. flip decal

For my model I need to place two mirrored decals. The only option that I find out is to creating two images with different positions or two artboards with the same mirrored object.

Adding an option for flipping decals horizontal/vertically will be plus. Also I would like to have ability to move decal in x and y direction by using arrows on keyboards.

  9. Stylus / Graphics Tablet modeling support

It would be amazing to be able to draw your idea's and extrude them out into 3D for example you would sketch an idea and be able to make it 3D in Dimension CC along with the idea (like blender) to manipulate models with a stylus / wacom tablet.

  10. Some 3d modeling capability would be a start

Adobe Dimension – suggest Adobe doesn't hype what's little more than a Photoshop filter as a 3d program

  13. Greater Object Manipulation

Because I do not have access to software like Z-brush or Maya (etc.), I continuously use Adobe Dimension. I'm addicted to it. While I have used it for mockups, I mostly use the geometric shapes for creating concept art geared towards vehicles and architecture. It would be desired to have the ability to alter the shapes even more! For an example, when altering a cube, it would be nice to click on one of the sides and scale or extrude the surface. Another way to alter a selected object would be to introduce a mesh. Perhaps, this alter option could…
