Render in line drawing3 votes
Can you please provide a more detailed description and an example of the workflow you’d like to see. Are you looking for rendering out lines in a vector format?
i need tilt/shift as option. motion blur in combination will be a joker...2 votes
Can you please provide some more information? Details on the workflow you would like to accomplish and how you want the feature to work and why would be appreciated.
A way merge group objects into a single object and the ability to rename objects and grouped items.2 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! You can rename objects and groups by double clicking on their name in the scene panel.
I’m curious about the first part of the request to merge groups into a single object. May I ask why? Is there a functional difference from a group of objects and merged objects that you see?
Import PDF Files2 votes
I’d love more details here on how you’d like to import .pdf files, where, and why.
It could be nice for the program to get a save/load feature for when you have to close or reboot the computer and you want to conserve the composition1 vote
We definitely have file save/load functions. Were you not able to locate it in the file menu? If you’re on Windows there is a bug where the file menu might be missing on your first startup.
It would be great if you could add perspective options. The only provided angle is too sharp and is not suitable for renderings that include e.g. phones and close-ups.

Can you provide a bit more detail on the options for perspective? Do you mean the actual 3D view? You can completely customize the viewing angle with the view tools (orbit, hand, dolly).
Here’s a 1 min. video on moving the view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgEKBMtPyak&index=3&list=PLD8AMy73ZVxXbBN_8CjTaFci5FnHAjD-H&t=7s
If it’s about something else can you please provide more details?
Great app for presentation, but it would be really useful, for me and many people I know at least, to output the graphic component only in flat PSD file for print production. Currently, I use the 3D features in PSD such as UV texture for print needs. But many people can't wrap their heads around the concept of UV mapping. Dimension already makes it easy to design for the layman, if the app removes technical barrier going from 3D to 2D, I'm certain it'd become a valuable tool in the print industry.1 vote
Thank you for the discussion! Just to confirm, when you say you want to “output the graphic component only” you mean the actual textures of the 3D model, correct? How would you want to use that output in your workflow?
I started to use Dimension for a bit and it quite interesting for making realistic images. Awesome job guys.
I was wondering, what if there was an option to work with C4D and Fuse.1 vote
Can you provide more detail on what you’d like to do with C4D and Fuse specifically? We have our own ideas, but like to hear from you!
Yet to find how to add a custom decal to the assets panel. Im able to double click decal properties thumbnail and add a custom decal but theres no clear path to save the new decal in the assets panel.
Is there a solution?1 vote
The assets panel can’t currently be customized. You can save graphics to CC Libraries for use between apps. Can I ask why you’d want to save custom content to the Assets panel?
How to integrate HIS 3D model ?1 vote
Can you please describe what you mean in more detail? Do you mean to just import your own models?
You can use File > Import > 3D Model to import any .obj.
We´re working with After-Effects and therefore have all our products in Cinema 4D format with pre defined UV-Spaces and tons of adaptable textures in PSD. It´s useless to have another product in cloud that doesn´t support the formats the other applications do. We won´t spend double time to adapt models for different programms.1 vote
Thanks for the thoughts here! We haven’t really started work on compatibility with After Effects yet and are using a different material system than Photoshop (A subset of NVidia’s MDL language).
For your work, what specifically would you want to see? Support of .c4d save files imported to Felix? A particular type of 3d file format support (.fbx, .3ds, etc)?
More details are great!
import images by drag and drop in menu1 vote
Can you please provide more detail? We have a File Menu (File > Import) and we have drag and drop support for the canvas and scene panel. I’m not sure what you mean by drag and drop in menu.
When the user is using the select and move tool, its nice to see the rotation mode also available within the the tool. This allows the user to navigate by the arrows, expand or shrink the object and finally rotate it as well.1 vote
Right now we have 3 separated tools Move, Rotate, and Scale. Your title says to add rotation to Move, but your description sounds like you want to move, rotate and scale all in 1 tool. Can you clarify?
Direct *.psd file opening for editing in PS intead of saving it.1 vote
Hello! I’m curious about this. You say “Instead of saving it.” Do you want us to purely open the render without saving a copy at all? Or would you want us to save it and then give you a faster way to open it with “Edit in Ps” type link?
I can't get my head around the different command tools. Can there be a clear interface where layers for example are much clear and attaching a design into a surface is much linked visually in command.1 vote
hello! Please add seamless tiling option for texture images! thanks1 vote
Can you please provide more details? If you load an image that is a repeating tiling image it should repeat. Models themselves have ‘seams’ as well, is that what you want to be seamless? An image of what you’re trying to do would be great!
More flexibility and light control. Positioning is needed other than rotation.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion, can you add some more details on what specific controls you’d want and why. When you say sIBL layers, which layers are you looking for? What do you want to do with them? Do you want to solve this through sIBLs or do you want additional individual lights?
New branding1 vote
I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand. Are you just sharing an image? Is this a feature request? What are you looking for? Please provide full and clear details.
Is there a way to make a render from your own photos - and are there suggested settings/hints for your photos that would guarantee they'll upload in good quality as a render (like taking photos with a white background....or something like that?). Also can you upload vectors you've made and display them as a render? Like if I made a vector drawing in illustrator, could I upload it here and play with it as a 3-D render on Felix?1 vote
I would be great to have a deform option as like as element 3d1 vote
Can you please provide some details? What specific functions would you want to do in Dimension?
- Don't see your idea?
