I have a book cover that is 6x9x.75. It would be ideal to have the ability to input dimensions rather than scale.

When rendering to a layered Photoshop file, it would be extremely helpful to have the Object on one layer and the Cast Shadow on a separate layer. This will allow a designer the ability to manipulate shading and integrate it better into the picture. I have worked in 3D for many years (multiple programs) and this separate layered technique is one of the most used by artists and extremely powerful.54 votes

Wrapping decals, I'm trying to wrap a label around a cylinder or even the jar model and its doing this14 votes

Hello! Definitely a great suggestion and something the team is considering heavily right now. It didn’t make our first few beta releases, but it’s on our roadmap for sure. I’ll let you know when we’re closer. :)
perhaps when rendering glowing objects, (at a high setting) if there could be some light effects shinning off the surface of the glow? currently it just renders a start white edge and casts light over near by surfaces. it would look nicer if the object look closer to light, not just a solid color.8 votes
Making the “Glow” option for materials actually emit light and bloom is a planned enhancement! Not sure when exactly we’ll get in, but we’ll let you know when we start on that.

Thanks for the suggestion! We did in fact, used to have a pause button. But it broke so we had to kill it for a bit. :( It will return when we fix the pause mechanism!
A revert feature would be great in this app - just to provide some recourse when experimenting with lighting and material properties etc.. Learning by trial and error I am quiting quite a lot in order to get to a previous point [ultimate would be a history like Photoshop of course!]5 votes

It could be valuable if we can have the transform gizmo of the decal also ifor shader's texture.
It could be valuable to unlink diffuse and normal maps transformations.
Sometimes diffuse maps and texture maps don't have the same "physical" size...3 votes
Thank you for the suggestion! We do plan on enabling in-canvas manipulation of materials and individual textures. Not sure yet when that will get in, but you’ll get an update here when it’s available.
I often use camera bookmarks to quickly display several zoom on the image (close-up, whole object, just a part, ...). But at the same time, I need to see the preview window to verify the quality of the lights. This is not possible because the bookmark menu hides it. And if you put the preview window in full screen, the bookmark menu disappears. It would be perfect if the bookmark menu could still be visible and do not hide the preview window.2 votes

Option for tiling decals on surface when adding seamless patterns or textures as a decal1 vote
We are planning on allowing graphic layers to be set to a fill mode which will tile it across the surface.
