Hey all, just wanted to give a little update on Animation for Dimension. We believe animation is an important part of working with 3D and do plan to include animation features in the future, however it will not be for 2019. Likely this will start in 2020 but I’ll update as we get closer!
I would like to design a 3D model of a hydrogen fuel cell car for example that would show the way it works... basically I want to show the whole process of making a Project Felix Model not just the final image?

Video Keyframes animation
Basic animation presets would be used to create turn arounds, fly-throughs, orbits, and other quick camera and object movements. These would likely include some parameters for customization such as speed, distance, and duration. Presets would not expose a full timeline and allow key framing for all properties initially.
The ability to do basic object animation
Yes! Simple animation would be amazing!! Quick, easy program, so fun! Please incorporate some type of key framing.

all of the above, rotating around a product first please (would be great for product loops, eg for hover effects and parallax effects
It would be amazing to be able to make a basic animation in Felix, then shoot it off to After Effects where I'm more capable as I've been using it for a few years.

All of those please. The wonderful thing about being consumers, is that we are always hungry.
Try Swift 3D for Windows as a baseline.
Or remember Coral 3D?
If we can export animations as movies, gifs, or flash animations, then that is pretty useful.

I'd also like to see some simple animation and GIF support. I'd like to be able to do some simple 360 degree rotation around product mockups. It would be nice to import .gifs too. It would be cool to have a model of a coffee mug and import a GIF with steam and place that steam over the coffee mug and then be able to create a 360 degree rotating animation of the steam and the mug.

I think it seems to be the possibility to keyframe different camera positions and time the transitions between each position, and export the final render as video. (Like H.264)
It would also be nice to have automatic presets, like a 360º looped animation for video or GIF.
This is fantastic. This might be in the current pipeline, but I can easily see adding animation/timeline as the next step, which would really add some power to this package. Especially to be able to create a seamless looping animation for behance or concepts for clients would be brilliant.

I'd like to be able to make animations. With timeline editing, like in c4d or Animate
