Advanced Render Quality Settings
A little more technical info like samples, render ETA etc. instead of just high/med/low could be helpful for the more informed. Also, the ability to disable choose arbitrary render resolution from the render tab is more convenient IMO instead of having to change it every time from the camera panel.
Great suggestion. We definitely want to expose these more advanced options for 3D experienced users. Having that flexibility will be great. :)
Hi you guys at Adobe, you made a kickass app like Dimension, but it seems you guys forgot to head over to Autodesk for faster rendering technology! Sort of defeats the whole purpose of the app...
Please you guys should overhaul the rendering system. Heck even good old mental ray will suffice...
Just as a note, RAM, VRAM, and GPU have little effect on render times as our renderer is CPU based. We are actively working on improving the rendering speeds in many ways, including looking at utilizing hardware more efficiently.

Definitely agree that more parameters are needed under render settings to minimise time taken to render!
So far, one render has taken 23 hours and 30 minutes! I understand computer speed plays its part but I presumed 64gb of RAM would munch through a render fairly sharpish with Dimension being the only program open. It may be because I have lots of glass objects but still it's way too long to wait for the final output.
I could have mocked this up just as good in Photoshop within a couple of hours.

There's got to be more options under rendering settings. I understand the need to make it easy for designers with no experience with 3D, but trying to render a high quality image with a one-size-fits-all type of rendering option it's just not working. I should be able to turn off any settings dedicaded for translucent or liquid materials to speed up renderings times for solid models/materials.
rendersize, what kind of renderlayers like Normalmap, seperate reflection, refraction diffuse etc like in other renderer as vray, vred etc.
better Preview. faster and better shadowpreview...
more later please excuse my english....

Rendering should be quicker or with more parameter.

Allowing more rendering controls than low, medium and high is ideal. Settings need to match what's being rendered to be efficient. Also, it would be fantastic if Felix could benefit from virtual cores to speed up rendering times (too slow).
When choosing the quality (High medium...) I would like to know how many passes are done.
