Create 3d .pdf files
I would like to be able to create 3d .pdf files so I can show my clients interactive 3d models.

Hello! The Dimension team is gathering some feedback around various export requests. If you’re interested in providing more detail on your request for exporting workflows, please take a moment to fill out the following brief survey:

Hello,
My 10 cents to this feed to say that exporting Dimension scene to a 3D pdf file will be very disappointing.
Even if 3D pdf was a very good solution some years ago, the 3d rendering it was able to handle was quite poor. Thanks to « substance like » shaders and with the more and more acceptance of Gltf/glb files, this file format is far much more qualitative for sharing 3D scenes...
It’s quite universally supported on Win10 and MacOS even if USDZ could be a good candidate as alternative export file format.
But please, don’t ask neither to export to OBJ as MTL side-car file for handling texture supports only diffusé textures (at least a bump extra texture) but not specular, roughness, metalness, normal as Gltf is able to do.Many thanks

Hi Karine! Today Publish to Web sends the 3D model to your CC Assets and creates a shared view you can send for review, but it can't be embedded or sent to other websites. This is something we're actively working on and will be possible with the next release of Dimension! Please keep your eyes open for a release coming soon.

May I used the Publish to Web feature to integrate the 3D view in my Website to show product and allow user to manipulate them?. Is this an open and free tool?. Thank,

Hello, I have just discovered the "Share 3D Scenes" feature and this works very well for me.
So, effectively, I don’t need to create 3D PDFs anymore, I can use this feature.
What I would like to see is a definitive tutorial on creating your own 3D models, that would be great.
Thanks and keep up the great work. -

Does my client have to have Adobe dimension to view the 3D scene via the web? I have created a publish to web scene but we tested it on various different devices and it wont open?

@Tim, Have you tried our Publish to Web feature? :) It's available in the top-right corner of the application under a share icon. This will share to a web-viewer. It's a public-beta right now so doesn't have password protection or anything, but we'd love to know how this fits your needs!

Hi Jeanette,
Please take a look at ...
https://creativepro.com/review-mockup-3d/
https://mockup3d.com/
https://mockup3d.com/v/YkK59If it's currently not possible to implement 3D in PDF-Files, please take a look at mockup3D. They provide an anonymous view link to an online preview portal. Maybe, until the issue 3D issue is fixed in PDF, Adobe could provide an online 3d rotatable preview solution. It could be hosted at Adobe and free for all CC cloud subscription users .... :-)

Any progress on this feature?

I vote for 3D PDF to be integrated into Adobe Dimension.
a few other things:
Animation/Timeline
Muti Camera Switching
Single Material on Multiple meshes (showing multiple sides of a design)
Multiple art files for package renders. Turn on/off layers in Dimension. -

An interactive 3d pdf with the model maps intact is an awesome tool especially for packaging. Great for getting feedback from the customer while developing the package and artwork.

The first version of Adobe Dimension looks great but unfortunately it's not possible yet to export as 3D PDF. Please consider adding this feature...

Please allow designs to be exported as 3D rotatable PDF. This would be very usefull

This would also be a must for us. A large part of our business depends on 3DPDF. would love to see PDF standards updated for better 3D content too.

This one is essential!!!
I hope so much that Adobe will implement to export PDF 3D. It would be great and a real game changer for the whole packaging industry. As well as choosing meshes, faces or segments and assigning different Materials.
