Apple Silicon (Mac M1) Support
In 2020 Apple announced that they would be transitioning to their custom silicon for Mac devices.
Adobe Dimension should run on these devices.
Hello everyone! I’m very happy to say we have not only gotten M1 Rosetta emulation working for Stager but were also able to quickly get it working on Dimension as well.
For anyone who is interested in early access to help us test this version of Dimension or Stager, please use this invitation link to down the build from our prerelease program:
I want to apologize again for the extremely long wait on this topic, and thank you for your patience.
If you have any issues using the builds, please leave a comment on the prerelease program forums so we can track the issues!
If all goes well we will roll this out officially in September as new Dimension & Stager releases.

+1 waiting on anxiously for Rosetta compatibility at the very least...my old Intel Mac died so I have no way to use Dimension now :( Would be nice to get an update since the last one was 4 months ago with no timeframe...

4 months later, waiting for at least beta on silicon M1. The demand is there and we have spent money on this software!!

1 year since the Mac Mini Developer Transition Kit.

Can we get a discount on our CCs? The lack of communication is a total joke.

Seems like it is still not working. Any solution in the near future?
No updates since beginning of Feb and it might be worth letting people know what is happening as the lack of feedback makes us wonder whether Adobe cares about their customers.
The lack of Comms is pathetic. Is there even a development team working on this anymore?

Any updates on when Adobe Dimension will be available for Mac M1 chip computers? I desperately need this for my work.

i had a Mac Pro 2012 and you broke dimension more than 3 years ago for this computer. So now I finally decided to buy a new Mac just to discover it's not working either on the new Mac M1... is this as JOKE ? ... seriously is dimension still considered as a "in Developpement" product or a "lab" product or can we be on day be able to count on it as a serious professional software ... if it's gone disappear soon like other adobe software just tell the community as soon as possible so we stop investing time in this piece of software ...

at least let people know if the beta ver is coming out soon or it’s going to take a long time... at least i can start working with blender or something to finish my projects

There's nothing like Adobe Dimension in terms of simplicity and relative render quality, but if you are completely screwed by this, Vectary is affordable, web-based (chrome only tho) and fairly easy to understand.
I'm going to fulfill my commitments that I was to do in Dimension with Cinema 4D, but it costs much more than the entire Adobe Suite, and it'll take me at least 4x more time, so I'll be losing quite a bit of money on the project.
So disappointed in Adobe here.
I feel a little sad posting this here, since it is obvious that the people tasked with Dimension are doing their best, and the larger company isn't responding to the problem with added resources.
In general, the app seems to linger quite a bit, features are slow to come, which must affect useage statistics, which is probably why the app development doesn't get a lot of resources.
Adobe should commit to building Dimension out to what it could be - A 3D app that is simple enough for Graphic Designers to use, to create scenes that do not need complex parameters.
It could be truly spectacular, a real gamechanger, if Adobe would just decide to do that.

Any update on the availability on M1 macs?

It is disappointing that in more than three months we have not received any response. I have definitely decided to use Blender and I am considering switching to Affinity for the rest of the applications.

We all know you are already working on making adobe dimensions compatible with the new M1, but the REAL question is when will it come up?
Many users did already this important switch with new models, and for their job/work or study need the M1 support Asap
For this reason WE, as a big community need to know any news about this

@jenette Mathews Any news on this yet?

Adobe, could you just invest some of the billions of dollars you do not pay for taxes in Europe, to pay programmers that release Dimension for M1 Macs?
I wish there was a program like Dimension from Affinity....
I don't understand why this is still an issue. It's so infuriating, the pace of 'fixing' such a fundamental issue and the absolutely non-existent communication. What is going on, Adobe? This is ridiculous.

Is there any updates on this? Is there a way workaround for this in the meantime? Could I possibly use a different operating system like Catalina on my MacBook with an M1 Processor?

can you please keep me posted about M1 compatibility upgrade?
