Dimension should import fuse files.29 votes
Hey everyone, Jeanette with the Dimension team here. We are conducting a survey all about 3D Characters!
This survey takes 10 minutes to complete. The survey will remain open until Friday, March 22nd at 12:00 PM PT.
Here is the link for the survey:
At the end of the survey, you will have the option to indicate whether you are interested in participating in a 60-minute, 1:1 research interview about 3D characters. Selected participants will receive a $100 USD Amazon gift card as a thank you for their time, upon completion of the interview.
Transparency on final render would be great fro compositing in photoshop with other elements.22 votes
The last status update on this was some time ago, so I wanted to refresh it! As you are no doubt aware we ended up not making this change, as previously stated.
We’re still reviewing what we want to do here. With translucency, the renderer bounces lights around the scene, takes information like what color it bounced off of and that’s why our translucent objects have some information baked into the transparency.
Just turning off the BG transparency is pretty easy, but making translucent things render without that ‘baked in’ environment information is a big challenge. We’re working on some other areas with higher priority, but continue to keep this topic top of mind.
Is it possible to integrate it with XD files? It would be very useful to make some Iphone X mockup using images from my Adobe XD.10 votes
Definitely possible! Are you thinking something in Dimension where you pick a device 3D model then connect an XD doc to the screen?
Would you want anything particular there functionality wise inside of Dimension?
Allow Felix 3D models to embed into inDesign for .epub output!10 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! I’d love to know some specific workflows you’d like to do here. For example is it for product shots inside a design document or something? Great suggestion.
When importing an already textured 3D object, Felix should automatically duplicate texture files into the user's CC library of choice and automatically link the textures with the Felix file
This is so that textures that have already been applied need not be set up again in Felix.8 votes
Interesting suggestion! Definitely hooking up linked files to CC libraries would be very valuable.
Import PDF Files6 votes
I’d love more details here on where and why people would like to import In Design files.
Time factor as well as direct accessibility to images would be key for Felix if Bridge images could be imported without going through Libraries. If one works with multi-adobe-apps the library is good for some aspects as reworked files but images that are direct should not have to go through another step in order to access.6 votes
Currently can import graphics (jpgs), models (obj), lights (ibl), and materials (mdl). Add the ability to bring in additional element types from CC Libraries including brushes, colors, etc.5 votes
Please share here about what element types are most useful for you of the list below:
*(Please specify any other types not represented above)
I have a PSD file. I want add/Edit a 3D object in this file after rendering from Felix. Because Photoshop rendering is not good. when i giving a position to object in Felix then i want a live preview that PSD file in Felix as background image. As occurs linked between Illustrator and Photoshop. when save a Felix file then then real time changes in that PSD file.

Ability to search and access my photos in Lightroom CC in the Assets panel4 votes
Thanks for the suggestion!
This post should also take place in CaptureCC.
It should be fine if we can gige a "real scale" to a captured material in order to apply it "realistically"4 votes
