When importing 3d models such as bottles, it would be nice if Adobe Dimension could add a liquid fill feature so that the bottle can represent a real beverage or condiment product.88 votes
Hello everyone! The Dimension team is very interested in the topic of creation/modeling/editing as a whole. We haven’t added any creation so far, but are actively researching this area. We have a new survey on modeling and editing and would love your thoughts on the topic!
STL files and dimensions (metric and imperial) for 3D printing. Manipulation of shapes from anchor points not just scaling. Extruding off of faces
Separate a group of faces from an object to produce 2 different solids without the use of subtraction.16 votes
Thanks for the suggestions! Just as an FYI we generally track each feature individually, so we do have suggestions for STL support and add/subtract meshes to make new shapes, for example. Might suggest voting on those!
3D printing is definitely something we’re keeping in mind!
Being able to open multiple instances of the application or work on multiple scenes during rendering.14 votes
I have a SpaceNavigator from 3Dconnexion and I'd like to use it for camera movement14 votes
When using multiple monitors, i would like to move my pallets to a second monitor.. it seems they are locked into the single view mode. I would especially like to see the preview window moved off of my art-board. some people utilize more than one monitor and would like to see their designs in full screen.11 votes
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! We (Adobe as a whole) are considering the next generation of User Interfaces, so this is a discussion that is being taken very seriously across the company. I’d love specific examples of the things you like to dock/undock and why.
photogrammetry software like" Photomodeler", "Agisoft PhotoScan" and "Acute3D" were still not making the 3Dmodel from multicamera positions as accurate and with high resolution as I needed it to be.
Perhaps Adobe can make a difference ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_photogrammetry_software
I am using 9 Nikon D800 camera's to do lenticular, timefreeze and 3D modeling . No accurate and easy software ( affordable and powerfull ) software yet tried that meets demands.
Currently using twitter Pro in After Affects for inter-camera calculations. A 3D model instead of rotoscoping front from background would be helpful too to get AE and Twixtor Pro working better.10 votes
It’s definitely possibe! We’ve considered building some sort of support into the Adobe Capture mobile app, for example. Would love to know others thoughts on this topic.
Similar to Photoshop, a clickable list of the history of alterations.
I have always wanted in Photoshop (and now desire it in Felix) the ability to select some of the History and make it an "action" which I could use on other objects in scene or in new scenes.7 votes
Dimensions is very good and simple to use, but coming from a 3D background it is also limiting in the application of decals. My initial dive in has probably missed soemthing but I can't see obvious ways to do the following.
Restricting decals to specific faces or areas - perhaps these areas could be "painted on" with a brush and the decal only applies there?6 votes
Edited original post to a single idea to meet the requirements for the voting/status system.
You can find an existing idea for multiple decals here: https://feedback.adobedimension.com/forums/552559/suggestions/31964002
Being able to add a decal to a specific area and fill it appropriately is actually a really cool topic and something we’ve experimented a bit with! It’s not part of the official roadmap for 2018, but definitely possible in the future.
A quad display would be extremely useful! i.e.:
Option to split interface in to 2, 3 or 4 quadrants with the ability to change view separately in each quadrant. For example, wireframe (X axis) in one panel, wireframe (Y axis) in another. Gumball, low res preview in third (for modelling) and render preview in fourth.6 votes
If we can place the 3D object in the real world that would be great. Plain surface will be scanned and our 3D object can be placed on that surface. We can move around all sides of the 3D object we created with real light and environment. We can easily allow user to see the object from any angle and opposite side of the object how it will look. I think as AR is getting more into our day to day life this could be a great addition.5 votes

when going back to the screen when posting feedback - in my case to make a screenshot, the feedback box will close.. and the feedback will be gone.. Having to type it once more :)

Thanks for the suggestion! We don’t have any rigging/animation controls at the moment, but something we’ll definitely be looking at for the future. I’d love to know what types of rigged content you’re working with.
Wacom tablet drives sliders crazy, like the altitude or rotation points go to crazy huge values which I don't have using a 1/0 click device like the trackpad or mouse.3 votes
At the moment we do not have support for Wacom and other drawing tablets, but I’ve listed this as a suggestion!
I'm running on a mac Mini that meets all the system requirements with an eGPU that also meets the system requirements. Every time I start Dimension I get an OpenGL error message. If I start without the eGPU running I can start the program just fine. Then I can start my eGPU and even use it to speed render times. I would like to not have to go through this unnecessary step every time I start this program.2 votes
Dimension has never been tested with eGPUs. There’s probably no reason we can’t support them, just haven’t today. At this time we don’t have immediate plans to add this to our testing coverage, but I’ll bring it up to the team and will update here if we start work on it!
A note, it’s not actually expected that plugging in the eGPU afterwards would change anything. Dimension selects the GPU at launch and once selected doesn’t change. I’m very curious about the performance change, but if it’s actually using the eGPU that is not by design.
Would like the ability to increase canvas size without changing the image size such as ability in Ps. Often wish to continue the environment outside of the background image and currently this is not possible.2 votes
When Dimension crashes, it tells the user to submit a bug report via the Provide Feedback menu item, and to submit their Dimension.log file when doing so. The Provide Feedback menu item redirects the user to this site, feedback.adobedimension.com, where posts are publicly visible. By asking users to submit their log file, Dimension is asking it's users to expose the following information to the public:
This information should be kept private. Dimension should not ask its users to expose this information about themselves.1 vote
Thank you for the feedback! The feedback button is supposed to have an in-app mechanism for attaching the file, which seems to not be working.
On this website feedback.adobedimension.com there is a “Contact Us” which you can use to send attachments privately.
We do not recommend attaching log files to forums.
Maybe Dimension can have a setting where you can personalize your workspace and change the color of the workspace.1 vote
Dimension supports “Light” and “Dark” UI modes in the preferences. It’s certainly possible to allow more personalization, but having details on what you’d want to customize is helpful!
Display images at 100% -Double-click the Zoom tool in the toolbox.
Fit an image to the screen -Double-click the Hand tool in the toolbox.
These options can be very useful when we are changing canvas size and want to center canvas1 vote
