Direct *.psd file opening for editing in PS intead of saving it.1 vote
Hello! I’m curious about this. You say “Instead of saving it.” Do you want us to purely open the render without saving a copy at all? Or would you want us to save it and then give you a faster way to open it with “Edit in Ps” type link?
With Video copilot.. We can make 3d text and bring any 3d object directly into After Effects as a layer, build cities, and have complete control over objects to break apart. The following link is from my channel so you have an idea on what I like to do and what Felix should be. https://youtu.be/3OliPT_gox81 vote
Thanks for sending over the video! This is a feature-based ideas forum, so it’d be great if you can clarify this a bit more into specifically what you’re looking for.
Video Copilot, for example, is a plugin directly in the After Effects interface. Are you looking for a Felix plugin for Ae that would do these types of effects in context within Ae as well? Or do you want to do those types of effects within Felix and output video for use in Ae?
Zoom option needs tinkering - I gathere there are two sets of zoom included so far: 1. background image zoom 2. objects grid zoom. My intuitive sense of zoom combines the two.1 vote
Hmm, can you describe a bit more about what you’d like from a combined zoom? At the moment we have only the 2nd one you are describing which is a scene based 3D zoom (moving your camera forward and backward in the 3D scene). There is no pixel based background zooming such as in Photoshop or Illustrator.
How would you imagine these functioning together?
Is there a way to make a render from your own photos - and are there suggested settings/hints for your photos that would guarantee they'll upload in good quality as a render (like taking photos with a white background....or something like that?). Also can you upload vectors you've made and display them as a render? Like if I made a vector drawing in illustrator, could I upload it here and play with it as a 3-D render on Felix?1 vote
When the user is using the select and move tool, its nice to see the rotation mode also available within the the tool. This allows the user to navigate by the arrows, expand or shrink the object and finally rotate it as well.1 vote
Right now we have 3 separated tools Move, Rotate, and Scale. Your title says to add rotation to Move, but your description sounds like you want to move, rotate and scale all in 1 tool. Can you clarify?
It would be great to be able to seperate at the horizon line for background coloring. (i.e. "walls" and "floors" varying colors or composite imagery by piecing together a background.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion! I want to be sure I understand, are you saying that you want to create something like a plane on the floor/wall and apply colors together? Or apply different images to those areas?
It would be awesome if I could pull specific pieces of a model out and into photoshop. Even as a copy/paste feature.1 vote
Hi! Interesting idea, I’d love to have some conversation and dig into it a bit.
Would you expect to paste the actual 3D model information into a 3D layer in Photoshop? Or paste a 2D layer that’s basically a screenshot with transparency of the model from Felix?
We´re working with After-Effects and therefore have all our products in Cinema 4D format with pre defined UV-Spaces and tons of adaptable textures in PSD. It´s useless to have another product in cloud that doesn´t support the formats the other applications do. We won´t spend double time to adapt models for different programms.1 vote
Thanks for the thoughts here! We haven’t really started work on compatibility with After Effects yet and are using a different material system than Photoshop (A subset of NVidia’s MDL language).
For your work, what specifically would you want to see? Support of .c4d save files imported to Felix? A particular type of 3d file format support (.fbx, .3ds, etc)?
More details are great!
Please provide more information.
can you export as a 3D file0 votes
Can you provide details? Do you mean you want to export the 3D models to take to another 3d program? Are you looking for a 3D VR scene in some way?
- Don't see your idea?
