When rendering with Cloud Render in current Beta version.
Here is a link to my rendered file.
You can see the graphic repeating on the red sphere.
I also attached the image.
I'm not sure what is causing the issue but when I rendered locally it didn't reproduce the issue.2 votes
Hi. In Dimensions 2.0, when I leave the ground plane checked, I get some kind of reflection in the object, the ground plane itself? I have to uncheck it for it to go away. I did not need to do that in 1.0.1. That makes it unusable.1 vote
Hello, my files are disappearing after the render is finished. It shows the render is complete. When I click "show in finder" or "open in photoshop" nothing happens. Often there is no file anywhere in the export location or my computer in general. Once a file did appear, but when I clicked it, photoshop opened to the start page and the file itself vanished from my computer. It has successfully rendered files before with the same model. I'm not sure what made it stop working.1 vote
I want to render images with no backdrop. So by unchecking "Background" in the Canvas tab along with "Ground Plane" lets me do this. HOWEVER, after rendering the model it always leaves a grey stroke around the object.
Here's an image showing what I mean, I filled in the background black to make it easier to spot.1 vote
I was able to reproduce the issue and have filed a ticket for review.
When I select the Render Mode and Click on the Render button (no matter what quality or export format), the screen never renders anything; nor does the render preview. My guess is there is something wrong with loading the v-ray engine, but I don't have any way of actually determining that. I don't have anything else that runs VRay, so not sure what's going on.1 vote
For anyone experiencing issues with the V-Ray Render Preview window or Render Mode being blank please try the following:
1. Please try a system restart. There is a known issue with the way our licensing for V-Ray calls home that stops working if the system hasn’t been rebooted in a few days
2. Please try updating your video card drivers. Often fixes graphical issues.
3. If neither of the above help please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with your log files and a reference to what the issue is. There are two logs:
Which can be located here:
The shadows are not multiplied over the background image but rather added. So the result is light gray areas where it should be darker.1 vote
We’re investigating a few compositing issues with the ground plane and lighting that are causing some artifacts such as the light shadows.
Every time I add a reflection to a surface, I get a rendering error. See attachement.0 votes
This essentially can be seen in mirror-like objects and happens because of the way we project the background image onto the floor to give realistic contact lighting and reflections. We need to improve the blending between that projected floor and the background image itself. We have reviewed internally and hope to make improvements in the future, but it is a complex task, so can’t definitively say we’ll have it soon.
