Render Freeze and Crash
Upon Rending medium resolution 16bit PSD file, the render freezes at approximately 50% and upon stopping the render an error message occurs and the program closes. Saved files are not able to be reloaded and have to be remade.
Using Windows 10.

I have exactly the same issue, and this with 8 GB RAM. I believe it is a bug. Also, sometimes it works and it renders it to the end, and then with exactly the same file, it does stop at 50%.
I loose a lot of time by waiting with zero result by the end.
I do not see that Adobe has anwered so far...
Sad, sad, sad...
PS: I found out shutting off the computer and a retrying to render makes it work sometimes

When rendering on High, and sometimes at Medium, to PNG or PSD, the progress bar stops moving. The window itself doesn't freeze, just the progress bar and the export never comes. I'm using an Nvidia 1060. What's going on??

Same issue here. I'm not sure if i'll need to wait until the GPU is utilised by Dimension but it's been a very annoying problem so far. I was running an i7 with 8gb of RAM, literally just added another 16gb h0ping that would help but no dice.
Blender now works like a dream which is why I suspect the issue is the lack of GPU use.
Blender can still handle low quality still renders but i've got a college project due in a few weeks to get an a2 poster printed and it's gonna be stupidly low quality without at least a medium render.
Using windows 10

I have the exact same problem. It makes the software pretty much useless. It's not very consistent either. Sometimes dimensions continues after a short break. most of the time that's just it.. I have tried contacting support but I don't get any response.

No matter what settings i put in, the rendering suddenly stops and say "cancelled" towards the end. The computer I use can handle the preassure of the rendering, so it shouldn't be a technical issue that way. The snapshot button does not work either, so all rendering is lost.
