Thanks for the suggestions everyone! We (Adobe as a whole) are considering the next generation of User Interfaces, so this is a discussion that is being taken very seriously across the company. I’d love specific examples of the things you like to dock/undock and why.

Thanks for the suggestion! Can I ask for a bit more detail? Would you want to define an area of the screen and have that keep rendering even if you change your camera? Or just like a quick “Show me this area” then it goes away?

Are you referring to the render view, like Maya, you snapshot the scene as a wireframe to see what part of the scene you want to render, then select that portion in the render view and have it render that selection while the rest of scene from the snapshot stays as a wireframe? If so I agree lol

Work for multiple view windows hasn’t begun and is still in review. While we understand the value of multiple viewports we have a good bit of work to do on improving the one viewport we currently have. We’re focusing on the current composition, bookmark and render experience for this year but will probably start looking into multiple cameras and viewports more next year.

Yea I think the multiple four display viewport on one screen of the ui is another standard that should be taken into consideration while although having the ability to create duplicate cameras that possibly have more intricate settings that reflect an actual camera. It'll give the user some more dramatic renders to help them convey the drama or excitement of a scene or shot. Duplicating a camera is also very important because you have a shot you want or may like *BOOM* keep that camera there and duplicate, now you have a render camera and a working camera to adjust any other fine details for the shot

The latest release of Dimension now includes. a control preset for Substance Painter which is similar to the 3D industry standard of Alt being the main camera control activator.

However, this only controls the camera presets, not additional tools like WER for move, rotate, scale.

We’d love some feedback from anyone who tries out this preference on whether camera controls being similar to other 3D apps is helpful without additional controls presets for other tools like the transform tools.

How do I vote because I said pretty much the same precise thing like the w.e.r format for rotating scaling and positioning, and while although it maybe great for Adobe users who haven't used a 3d program before, for others who have, it becomes an annoying learning curve. Don't reinvent the wheel is all I stress
