Hey everyone! Today we announced the release of a new app – Adobe Substance 3D Stager.

Stager builds on the foundation of Dimension but has a completely reworked infrastructure and is built for pro audiences.

Stager incorporates Adobe Mercury Rendering Engine – with an entire new GPU backend for Vulkan APIs that is hardware agnostic. While the first release remains GPU rendering for NVIDIA cards only we are working with AMD for GPU support as well.

You can find more information about Stager here:

I’ve been subscribed to this thread for years waiting for GPU support to come to dimensions. Now GPU support is being added… to a different app? That’s not included in CC?! WTaF!!"

I guess we are not what they call Pro's...

    James,
Im not mad.. im aggravated because its another money grab. there is no reason that the 3D apps are not included in the "Creative Cloud" all apps.. which are graphic apps..
they include dimensions... but.. not they are saying Dimensions is not a professional app... only their new apps are... So we are paying for a set of Professional apps but we dont get all the professional apps.

reply to James Lovell, no there are not apps not available unless you are talking about Enterprise type apps.. there are a few web services or assets that we need to subscribe to but an ALL app subscription should be an all app... we spend over 20K a year on adobe. either change the plan from ALL apps to a new plan called something like Main Apps or Most common etc... but when Adobe says we will have access to ALL apps, this is what we should have!!

In regards to the new Substance3D app.
I cannot believe Adobe has the NERVE to charge for this.. THIS SHOULD BE INCLUDED in the All Apps plan... What does ALL APPS mean? apparently not what i means to us

    Ste Gardi,
While I agree keep it simple is good, we still need functionality that allows us to render how we want.. If the current lighting isn't good enough, then modify it so it is functional for the majority of users..
Many people don't want to go to other software to do 3D.. they want an all in one solution.. This is what I am hoping Dimension will be.
