    Hey everyone. There’s been a lot of discussion here, and some of it is turning quite negative. I was going to wait, but wanted to jump in right away.

    We have absolutely been listening and, as mentioned before, have GPU rendering in progress. We have our first build testing in-house right now and will be making it available on Prerelease soon.

    Please, note this first release of GPU rendering will be Windows Nvidia only, on cards that support RTX raytracing technology. Plans for AMD and Mac is still in the works but won’t be happening this year.

    Cloud rendering is in NO WAY a replacement or way to evade doing work to support…

    James Lovell, I wonder if there is something I need to do in the GeForce Experience driver settings to get the GPU rendering to work. My card is indeed RTX, but it keeps failing and diverting to CPU rendering.

    This really is a wonderful program, Adobe! With most businesses now advertising online, the need for easy product photos is a MUST. PLEASE do not abandon the program and put it on the fast track for GPU rendering, or at least allows us to purchase cloud-rendering credits. Thank you to everyone working hard on this!

    Thanks Stefan! I actually have 3 alienware computers here, with a 1070, a 1080, and a 2080 RTX. On the 1070, Dimension won't even detect the GPU. On the other two, Dimension detects the cards and asks me if I want to enable GPU rendering. I choose YES (obviously) and each of the two computers pops up with a "switching to CPU rendering" message upon trying my 1st render. Oh well, I know it's beta. I'm hopeful it all gets ironed out. If not, time to learn Blender. =)

    I have an NVidia 1070, running Windows 10. GPU rendering not working at all. Still using 100% CPU and 0% GPU. I know it's still in beta, but figured you'd wanna know.

    I agree with LarCart. It's a bummer for me. I have no interest in paying for the cloud rendering when I'm already paying a monthly subscription. I don't like being nickeld and dimed, especially when I have a $1,000 graphics card in my computer.

    Thanks Martine! I've actually already done this and it works. I was hoping for an option to export the photo from Dimension that is ready to upload, making the process MUCH less painful.

    Looks like Dimension saves a grayscale depth layer. What are the chances of you creating a tool where we can upload the resulting Photoshop render, then convert it to a FB 3D photo ready to upload to your business timeline or use in an ad?

    3D is only going to get bigger and bigger, an if Dimension can position itself as the default go-to software that FB advertisers use for product images, I think you'd have quite a large user base.

    Now that I think about it though... Also being able to do the full 360 model would be cool too.

    I'm talking about the 3D photos (currently FB only supports the iphone dual lense phones, I think). While the full 360 3D models are awesome (I can already make them using my Origami plugin for illustrator), the 3d photos are generating lots of clicks and engagement. My product photos that are generate in Dimension are so incredible, and making them do the 3D illusion as you swipe thing would really make them shine!
